We are a free and confidential NHS Talking Therapies service offering mental health support to anyone over 17.5 years old, living in the Kent and Medway area. You are not alone, we are here to help you feel like yourself again.

What are talking therapies?

Talking therapies are designed to help with common mental health problems such as stress, anxiety and depression. There are lots of different types of talking therapies, but they all involve working with a trained therapist.

How we work

  1. Referral

    You can refer yourself or ask your GP or another healthcare professional to refer you, whichever works best for you.

  2. Consultation

    Once we receive your referral, one of our friendly team members will review it and get in touch to arrange a telephone assessment.

  3. Therapy

    After your assessment, we'll recommend the support that's right for you and help you get started with a service that best meets your needs.

What mental health services are offered by Kent and Medway Talking Therapies?

We offer several services to support you with your mental health, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Counselling for Depression, Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Employment Support.

We also offer Digital Talking Therapies, where you can receive mental health help through webinars or the SilverCloud platform.

Getting support for your mental health is important because you can address challenges, develop coping strategies to help you in daily life and improve your overall wellbeing.

If you are feeling anxious, lonely, exhausted or stressed, there are ways we can support you and help you deal with your mental health so you can live a happy life.

If you are feeling like your symptoms of a mental health condition are impacting your daily life, it might be a good time to consider accessing our services.

Doing this as soon as you can means you can receive the support you need sooner, helping to control your feelings and make daily life feel easier to manage.

Is the service free?

Yes, this is a free and confidential service that is commissioned and funded by the NHS.

How do I access mental health services?

You can self-refer to our talking therapies service by completing our online form via Limbic, our online referral assistant or by calling us on 0333 091 0414. Or, you can go to your GP or another healthcare professional and ask them to refer you directly to us through our professional referral form.

What if I need help now?

We are unable to provide crisis support or therapeutic advice via email. If you need help for a mental health crisis or emergency, you should get immediate expert advice and assessment.
